esna Maraš, PhD in Viticulture-Ampelology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade, Serbia, is a Dean of the Faculty for Food Technology, Food Safety and Ecology, University of Donja Gorica. Dr Maraš was elected as Scientific Advisers at the University of Montenegro in 2013, and as a Full Professor of the University of Donja Gorica in 2014. She is a President of the Council for Scientific Research of the Government of Montenegro and a regular member of the Academy of Engineering Sciences of Montenegro. For her research work and contribution to the development of viticulture and wine sector in Montenegro, she got award for ”The most successful women in science in Montenegro in 2012” and for the ”Inventor – innovator of the most successful patent or innovative solution in 2014”. She has won medals for inventors by the World Intellectual Property Organization WIPO in 2016 to 7 of selected clones of Vranac variety. She has participated and coordinated in national and international projects in the field of viticulture and wine production (SEED.net; SEE-ERA.NET 91/01, COST ACTION FA 1003; EUREKA projects; IPA project; bilateral cooperationa, etc.).
