On Wednesday 09/11/2022 at the event called “Smart agriculture – the future of agriculture and rural development” in Skopje, the most significant results of the VIRAL project were presented. In the organization of the Agricultural Institute of the University “St. Cyril and Methodius”, as part of the project “EIT Food Start-Up Awareness Event” financed by the European Union, through the “European Institute for Innovations and Technologies – EIT Food”, a conference was held on the role and importance modern technological solutions in agricultural production. The conference included 11 lectures (Agenda) which were attended by many participants from various fields of agriculture (Invitation). The conference was also attended by the Minister of Agriculture of Macedonia, Mr. Ljupco Nikolovski, who expressed a special interest in innovations in this area.
Prof. Dr. Miljan Cvetković presented a paper entitled “ICT in agriculture – old and new forms of education and acquisition of new knowledge” (Presentation). In the presentation, the results of the VIRAL project intended for students (virtual course on ICT in agriculture, hackathons, various types of professional manuals, lectures, etc.) were presented. The conference was held in the premises of the Center for Technology Transfer and Innovation INOFEIT, within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.
