Students of the Faculty of Agriculture ready for the Viral Hackathon 2022
In the premises of the Faculty of Agriculture, on Tuesday, April 19th, 2022. a promotional workshop was held on the organization of the student competition – hackathon. Prof. Dr. Miljan Cvetković informed the students about the upcoming event. Through the presentation, he introduced the students to the competition, its significance, the way of applying, organization, and realization. Students were also presented with promotional films created during last year’s hackathon. This year’s regional hackathon is organized with the support of the Agency for Economic Development of the City of Prijedor (PREDA), and will be realized in the period from Thursday, May 12. until Saturday, May 14, 2022, years in their premises.
Again, participants will work for 48 hours with the help of experienced mentors to develop software and hardware solutions to the challenges of the agricultural sector. Through the program, they will have the opportunity to hear different speakers and successful entrepreneurs and learn more about presentation skills. The teams will present their solutions to an expert commission that will select the best ones and reward them with valuable prizes.
This year as well, the hackathon will be supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Srpska, as well as numerous organizations and institutions, which gives the competition special significance. Hackathons are undoubtedly a very important tool in interdisciplinary networking and non-formal education of young agronomists.
Applications for the hackathon open on Thursday at midnight and will last until Sunday until the end of the day. The link for registering teams is available on the project website.
