Apply the knowledge gained through university education, solve real problems faced by companies from the agricultural sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina and have fun with colleagues – all this will have the opportunity to do hackathon participants which will be organized in Banja Luka in the second half of May.
If you are a student, and you have knowledge and experience in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT) and agriculture and a team that you think can meet the challenge, here is an opportunity for you!
VIRAL hackathon will be focused on the application of information technology in agriculture through the development of software solutions for the challenges faced by agricultural enterprises in everyday business. The solutions that will be created on the VIRAL hackathon will significantly facilitate the business of agricultural companies, but also open new opportunities for progress.
The hackathon will be held in the period from May 20 to 22, 2021 in Banja Luka and will last continuously for 48 hours, after which the teams will present their solutions to an expert jury.
Rules of hackathon?
At the beginning of the VIRAL hackathon, all participants will be introduced to the problems for which they need to create a solution, and the focus is on two topics:
Mentors from different fields will work with the teams, and they will provide support in finding the best solutions for the defined problems.
Participants will get and refreshments during the VIRAL hackathon.
The detailed rules of the VIRAL hackathon will be presented by the organizers at the very beginning, it is only up to you to accept the challenge and bring good energy!

The link for applications will be available on April 29, 2021 and published on all communication channels of the Innovation Center Banja Luka. The first 5 registered teams that meet the above criteria will have the opportunity to participate in the VIRAL hackathon. Representation of teams from different universities will be one of the elements of team selection.
The application deadline is May 13 at 6 p.m.

We are organizing the hackathon through the VIRAL project, which is co-financed by the European Union through the Erasmus + program. The aim of the project is to import and improve cooperation between faculties, students and the business sector through the use of ICT solutions in the agricultural sector.
