Spring brings hackathons in Banja Luka, Mostar and Niksic

Apply the knowledge gained through university education, solve real problems that companies from the agricultural sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro encounter and have fun with colleagues – all these will have the opportunity to do participants of hackathon that will be organized in Banja Luka, Mostar and Niksic in the second half of May, 2021.

Hackathons, organized through the VIRAL project co-financed by the European Union through the Erasmus + program, will focus on the application of information and communication technologies in agriculture through the development of software and / or hardware solutions to the challenges faced by agricultural enterprises in everyday business. In 48 hours, teams composed of students from agricultural and electrical engineering faculties involved in the project implementation will work in the premises of the Innovation Center Banja Luka, INTERA Technology Park and Innovation Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis, to develop these solutions with mentors from different fields. Through the program, they will also have the opportunity to hear different speakers and learn more about presentation skills. The teams will present their solutions to an expert commission that will select the best ones and reward them with valuable prizes.

We have several competitions behind us, and some of them were extremely successful because we won and created a foundation for the further development of our ideas. As the biggest benefit, we see the acquired experience, improved skills, but also a completely new view of the possibility of realizing one’s own entrepreneurial potentials. That is why we think that student competitions, especially hackathons, are an important tool in the development of every young man’s career and all students should use such opportunities “said Ajdin Heldovac, a participant in several hackathons organized by INTERA Technology Park, describing his experience.

Hackatons are also the best invitation to all students to follow the activities within the VIRAL project and to all project partners in order to be up to date with all the news and opening of applications.
