UDG students benefiting from VIRAL project


VIRAL Erasmus+, students from the Faculty for information systems and technologies, University of Donja Gorica, as a part of the course Managing information technology enrolled in VIRAL online courses for Digitalization in agriculture. Over 50 students signed up so far, 27 scored over 75% in tests and final quiz, and around 10 got scores over 50%. During the course lecturers used VIRAL equipment in the classroom to give students a chance to physically see and “feel” modern Internet of Things sensor nodes and sensors used in the state-of-the-art digital farming platforms. Students were shown modern weather station, irrigation optimization sensor node, and the Cloud platform AgroNET that is used in the field installations. Students will work on term projects focused on Digital transformation in agriculture. VIRAL courses are expected to help students better understand ICT megatrends and the technology supporting digitalization in agri-food sector.
